March is a busy month for country living. Gardeners are preparing beds for planting and starting seeds indoors. Fruit trees and bushes need pruned and the sap will be running for maple sugaring. Spring birthing season begins for those who raise livestock. Though March brings the start of Spring with it the weather is still unpredictable. A cold snap or nor'easter can drop a few feet of snow late in the month or even into April where I live. But taking advantage of warmer days and increasing daylight hours to get things done you will position you for a productive year.
